Hi, I'm Shyima, your host. And I'm Tia, your cohost. And welcome to our podcast. Me and Mini Me, I am a cancer survivor. And in this podcast, we will be sharing with you our unique journeys. And we'll give you some tips and some advice. And sometimes it might be just a little bit sad. Mainly, it's going to be happy, it's going to be funny, it's going to be educational. We're going to have some interviews, sometimes with special guests and just mainly what's going to be entertaining. Yes, definitely. I hope you like our stories and I hope I podcast. See ya. 3s Welcome back, everyone to Me and Mini me. And today's episode, we're going to be talking about superheroes and why they are so important to young kids and adults, I guess, as well. Right? But let's talk about why you like superheroes and 1s what's important for you. Well, one, I wish I was a superhero. Like, these power was all, like, skills and also. 3s I just wish 1s I could be as brave. And 2s in films, they make it seem like superheroes are so, like, they're ready to save the world and they don't hesitate. That's inspiring. That's inspiring. It's like, I want to be able to help in a situation where I don't to hesitate or do something like that I'm scared of without hesitating. 1s So they're brave? Yeah. Okay. So that's one of the reasons that you like super. And since when did you like superhero stuff? Since you were really young or always or just when you were older? Not since I was really young. So you never really liked 2s I used to like princesses and stuff like that, but I think I started to like superheroes when I was like, only recently, like a few years ago. Do you think your challenges, like, your health challenges, is what made you be more interested in it and hooked up onto it? I don't actually know the reason why, but that might be linked to why I like them. 1s I think that could be it could be a relationship because 1s you've gone through quite a bit of treatment and challenges of your own with your cancer and different drugs you had to do and relapse and blah, blah, blah. And bone marrow transplant. So sometimes you said that bravery that you found 2s in superheroes, right? It's kind of like how you want to feel. Like, you also feel brave, don't you, if you're not 100% brave? Like, at least when you see, I want to feel like them. I want to feel like I can do stuff. Invincible. Invincible. To do everything. Able to do everything and everything 1s and anything. 1s And if I say everything and everything, can anything 2s without hesitation, without being worried or scared, just like with that pure bravery, like, I will do this. You wish you could be a superhero? Oh, my god. I think everyone wishes, but you know that they're not real. And humans have fear and they have worry and they have even in superhero films, they get scared. They get worried they're going to 3s get worried they're going to lose someone in a big war, big fight. They get that it's something dangerous. They're like, no, don't do that. It's dangerous. 1s Okay, but even, like, for an example let me give you an example. The Hulk, even though he's big and strong, 2s for an example, 2s he can stay angry and not become Bruce again. Bruce is the human version of okay? But he turns into Hulk, okay? So that's the dangers, because if he stays as Hulk forever, then people could hurt him. Yeah. Okay. Does that make sense? So he has more humanly sides. Like, more okay. His personality. Bruce the superhero, he gets angry easily, so he turns into Hulk because of this serum that he was given. So I'm not really into so much superheroes, so I actually don't know much of this stuff. And especially now. 2s The last time when you got in, when you did the bone marrow transplant, there were so many of the superhero stuff that you saw to watch. And even your wonderful play specialist, she really likes it too, and she helped you, and she wrote you a whole list of order. So I didn't even know about this whole DC and Marvel business. I thought all superheroes are just I didn't even know what DC and Marvel was. I mean, I thought they were some sort of production company, but that was it. But realized that I was very ignorant. And there's a marvel is the production company. Oh, it is? Okay. Marvel is a production company. Avengers and DC are the DC is also, 1s like, a company. Like, they make all the Justice League. 1s See, now you lost me. Justice League is like 1s Batman. Superman. The Joker. Okay, so I love 2s that's. Justice League. Avengers is Iron Man. Spiderman. I was going to say Spiderman. Okay, some of them are old. So Spiderman, Hulk and and Superman. 1s No, they're not. Who is thor. He never existed. Like, 1520 years ago. Probably in a comic book. But not in a comic book. Exactly. They're old characters. They don't have to be in a film. I don't watch that superhero stuff. 2s Yeah, and I haven't read them. So if it's not on the TV apparently, Thor is actually real. Ancient Greek god. 2s You're probably right. Anyways. And I only know Superman. The old Superman. And his name was. 2s I forgot his name, the original Superman. And he passed away and he was paralyzed. He was so handsome. Really loved him. Forgot his name, but anyway yeah, he's got blue eyes. Anyway. I thought every single time when I was a kid your age, every time I saw a man with black hair, blue eyes, I'd be like, in love with them. When I walk into she's like, oh, they're so handsome. Because of Superman. I used to like, Superman. Something about saving the world, having superpowers, just makes you feel so like 2s yeah, you want to inspire and be like them. You know they're not real, but they're not real. No one is born with powers. People are born with special abilities, which I believe people are born with special abilities. You have special abilities? No, but maybe when I'm older. Yeah, I think you have lots of abilities. 2s No, like special abilities. Like, I can do stuff. Like I can predict. People can sometimes have a predict the future and sometimes be right off. Or they have the right intuition or something. Exactly. Well, speaking of superheroes, I was thinking perhaps I'm going to be really bad at this, but perhaps we could do like a superhero trivia kind of quiz game thing. What do you think? It's like I haven't got time to think about what my mom yeah, but if I was fighting for my life I don't think so, actually. Driving. You probably would. 1s Fighting for my space on the road. 2s I probably would, but I try not to as much possible. Like, Captain America. He might say, like, the S word occasionally. Might say freaking. Yeah. But he's never said, like, any an actual bad word. I like him. Can you watch him more, please? Yeah. 1s And he's always willing to help other people more than himself. Definitely. Tia, 2s are you like that? Yeah. You like to help people, don't you? Yeah. I don't like to just leave people. 1s Who did you learn that from? You. He just unscrewed it and he just let fall and then he got things who's like that? Your dad. My dad. Something would be so obvious, like people don't notice. And then he would just be like, oh, you just need to do this drink and it's done. Right. I think you almost like I'm quite intelligent as well. Okay, I think. Who am I most like? You're most like I hope you know these superiors. 1s I'm gonna have to read up about it. Who am I most like? 2s I think you must like Iron Man. I know. No. Superman first, then Iron Man. Wanda Vision. 1s One Division. Wonder. Vision. I thought you said one division. 4s Okay? No, it's wonder and vision. So her name is Wonder and his name is Vision. One Division? 2s Yeah, they're both super. Oh, my God. All right. Used to watch this series. I think they should make a superhero about you. Tia, I think Tia the superhero. I need to have a superhero name 1s when I'm not in my costume and skies and mask. It would be something else, but you know how it's like, Bruce. Hulk is Bruce. Yeah. Okay, so what would be your alter ego? What do you mean? Like, what would be your other name? My other name would be is Tia the superhero name? No. Okay, so the superhero name would be okay, she's thinking too much about that. Right. 1s We're going to say your superhero name is Beads of Life. No, 2s my name's going to be my name is 1s your name is what? My name is Tia. 2s Okay. I don't know. My name would be, like, what? Your name would be Price. Yeah, just price. Price 1s future. And what power would you have and what would you look like? I wouldn't want to have any powers. I just want to have skills. I would want to 1s be able, like, quick, like. 2s Like, I can sense when, like, danger is about to like, if something's about to hit me, I can sense and like, stop it. So that's actually interesting because I think that is relatable to your experience and I feel like because of all the cancer stuff that you have to go through and all the medical stuff, I think you're so aware of your body that you feel when something's not up. And I think that's how you're going to get that's how you want to get that super scale or whatever. Because it's not a do you know what I mean? It's not a super bad you don't need a serum to get that. No, I mean, they could get Tsarum 2s for any future people. They can get tear serum and they could learn how to find out. And I would want to be 2s really flexible and really, like, strong. But you are flexible. No, but you know what I mean? I can do back flips and I can land from three floors to the ground and fight and be like, 2s okay, 2s that would be to. 2s Tear the superhero. And what color would your costume be? Purple. Skirt or dress or leggings? No. Like Black Widow. Like a suit. Like a cat suit? Yeah, one piece. Okay. Cape? No cape. Okay. And I'd have, like, gadgets of a belt, but instead Black Widow thing. I'd have one going across my chest. Okay. What would you have? What sort of gadgets and weapons would you have? I'd have a grenade, a syringe, in case you need to do IV. 4s I'm so confused. Grenade and a syringe. 3s Anyone's? Dehydrated, pop some glucose. Okay, carry on. What else? Grenades. And what else? I have a grenade and maybe a pistol. Pistol. 3s A couple. Like 2s smoke bombs. Smoke bombs? To make everybody fall asleep. Or fart bombs. 6s Sorry. That's really funny, actually. Can you imagine? Imagine a superhero that lets you 4s see the way you're cracking up. I could visualize you tears. What are you trying to say? Nothing. 2s Is that sensitive topic for you, dear? 2s I'm so confused right now, but I'm just gonna tear. Doesn't tear, doesn't fart. Anybody? 5s All right, what else? I think that's it. Yeah, all right. I definitely don't want to be a superhero. I am a superhero. I'm a super mom. I'm a superhero heroin heroine. I am super, amazing super mummy. And I'm incredible. You are incredible. And your gadgets are mops 3s buckets and wipes and syringes and dummies and nappies. And you put the nappies over their head so they can't email. 1s And all your medical medicine, all your medications yes. Have this. So it can give you an irritation on your skin. Anyways. Yeah, I think I am a superhero in myself. I think all Mummies are superheroes. Heroin, heroines, heroin, whatever. I think we're all superheroes. Do you not agree? I think we are. I think mums are don't talk about you. You're a child. What have you done? I mean, you've done a lot. You have done a lot. You're a hero. You went through a lot. Thank you. No one's gone through we get it. We get it. Yeah, but I think all Mummies are superheroes. Yeah. 1s I respect all mummies. Daddy's daddy's get respect as well. They get respect, but they're not superheroes. 3s They're not as strong as you superheroes, but they are superheroes. All of them are like Antman. They're like superheroes, but not that good. I see. Then when I said that he's Antman, then I was right, he's sometimes a superhero. But mummies are always superheroes. They're like born superman or they're born like Wonder Woman. Just born with superior skills. 1s I think so. I think it concludes your session. 1s Because I'm tired. Can I just point that out? Not because you're bored of me, as some people think. No, be a bit more convincing. As in like, I'm not 2s bored of you, I swear. I just wanted to point that out so people don't thing that I get bored of my mom and she's forced to do this.
